MANGRAL RAJPOOT BOOK PART-1
MANGRAL RAJPOOT
Dedicated to my parents and my teachers, through whose hard work and aspirations, I reached this
place
“O MANKIND INDEED WE HAVE CREATED YOU FROM MALE AND
FEMALE AND MADE YOU PEOPLES AND TRIBES THAT YOU MAY KNOW ONE ANOTHER. INDEED,
THE MOSE NOBLE OF YOU IN THE SIGHT OF ALLAH IS THE MOST RIGHTEOUS OF YOU.
INDEED, ALLAH IS KNOWING AND ACQUINTE.”
(49 HUJARAAT – AYAH 13)
Dear readers! this is my first and humble attempt. Your criticism and comments will be a beacon for me.

PREFACE
Ever since I was a child I have been curious about my
family so I often asked my father about my ancestors but forgot soon. Then my
father used to say to me, you are young now, so you don't remember these names.
When you grow up, you will understand and remember easily.
This desire of my childhood was suppressed somewhere in
my subconscious and when I completed my education and got a job, this desire
was revived once again.
Going through this process of research and exploration, I
was amazed that despite the passage of many centuries before that, no one has
recorded the history of this tribe. This thing encouraged me and I began to
work more diligently in research and study. My dear father kept encouraging and
guiding me. But unfortunately his life was not faithful and he could not see my
dream come true. May Allah have mercy on him.
I traveled a lot to get
historical materials and books. I searched for Mangrals and contacted them wherever they lived. I searched many libraries
and read dozens of books. Gradually the history, information and facts of the
tribe came to light and after a few years of hard work, I am now daring to
present the complete history and genealogy of the tribe.
How to get authentic genealogy was a difficult task. Some
of the older and educated people in the family assisted me in compiling the
genealogy. I also benefited from the records of the Revenue Department. But I
got satisfied when the complete and authentic record was obtained from the
treasury of Jammu (IOK). So now the
authoritative genealogies of the Mangral tribe in Sarsawa, Sahansa and its
suburbs are available to the readers and the foundation of this book has just
been laid on these genealogies. If there is any shortcoming, I will accept your
criticism and advice with open heart.
The book also includes a complete introduction of
prominent personalities belonging to the Mangral family and photographs of
selected people. If a person's name is inadvertently omitted from this book, I
apologize for it.
I am grateful to my colleague Prof. Chaudhry
Muhammad Shabbir who assisted me in compiling and editing the book, gave me
useful advice and guided me step by step till I brought the draft in book form.
I am grateful to Prof. Nazir Miskin for carefully
reading and proofreading the draft. Mr. Tahir Malik and Mr. Kamran Hussain also
deserve special thanks for their dedication and skill in composing.
Dear readers! this is my first and humble attempt. Your criticism and comments will be a beacon for me.
